ESG & GREEN BUILD STRATEGY
APC’s Green Build strategy is Comprehensive, Core of which is the Whole-Life Cycle and Embodied Carbon Assessment for Sustainability Certification Pathways on IFC EDGE & LEED and Leading Adaptive Re-use Developments
Adaptive Re-Use Developments
The Built Environment is purported to be responsible for circa 42% of Global Green House Gas (GHG) emissions, with its Operational Carbon emissions accounting for 27% of (GHG) and Embodied carbon emissions at 15% of (GHG), it becomes imperative to contemplate before new developments are undertaken; what existing un-utilized or under-utilized buildings could be repurposed, remodeled or adaptively re-used before new builds are considered, or before the demolition of an existing building to make way for the a new build, with the ultimate aims to limits embodied carbon emissions associated with new builds, and also to limit operational carbon emissions by the update of existing Engineering services components for efficiency, contributing to overall reduced energy intensity of Buildings.
APC’s adaptive re-use procedures are exhaustive, from concept to delivery; Structural Integrity assessments, Feasibility and Viability appraisals, Statutory and Regulatory Due- Diligence, Efficient design Management and implementation, Costing, Asset Management Plans Etc..
